SEARCH TIPS
You can do a quick search from the search box on the upper right hand side of the site. The "advanced search" tool can be found by rolling over the “books” tab on the navigation bar at the top of the page. There is a drop down menu that allows you to search by title, author, keyword, or ISBN. Choose what you would like to search and enter your search information. The advanced search also enables you to browse by series, subject, and publisher.
Enter all or part of the title you are looking for. You can leave out words such as "a", "an," or "the." The search engine will try to find books that have all the words you entered.
Enter all or part of the author name you are looking for. You do not need to enter a first name, but if there are a lot of books by authors with the same last name it may help to limit the results.
When doing a keyword search, the database looks at the following fields; title, sub-title, author first, middle, and last name, ISBN, and the book description. If you are not sure of the title or the author, then a keyword search would yield the best results. If you get too many results, add additional keywords. This will restrict the results to books that contain all of the keywords entered.
Type the 13-digit ISBN (International Standard Book Number) in the ISBN search field. Do not include any dashes.
Quotation marks can be used to return only books that have the exact phrase contained within the quotes. Other than that, is not necessary to use any special characters in formatting your search. Simply enter the words you are looking for. Plus signs or Boolean operators (and, or, not) will be ignored by the search engine.
The search engine is not case-sensitive. You can enter your search in all capitals, all lowercase, or mixed case.
