Rubbings of Maya Sculpture
By Merle Greene Robertson
This packet of 12 CD-ROM disks and printed instructions provides the first easy access to 2,000 of Robertson’s rubbings of low-relief sculpture from 90 Mesoamerican sites. Many of the rubbings are irreplaceable records of monuments since destroyed by deterioration or looting, and some have never before been published. This easy-to-use compilation of high-resolution scans makes it possible to enhance and manipulate images and print them out as needed. The Viewer CD allows the user to interactt with low-resolution versions of the imagery and the extensive cataloging system.
"Robertson’s rubbings alone are of incredible value as a database; however, their presentation as TIF files in CD-ROM is nothing short of brilliant." - Diane Z. Chase.
Twelve CD-ROM disks, including Viewer CD (supporting both IBM and Macintosh platforms), and printed instructions.
